PURPOSE:To improve processing stability and heat resistance of a raw film at the same time by incorporating a specified colored cyan coupler in a red-sensitive emulsion layer in a specified ratio, and adding a compound to be allowed to release a diffusive development inhibitor by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photographic sensitive material is provided with at least one red-sensitive emulsion layer on a support, and this layer contains the colored cyan coupler represented by formula I in which COUP is a cyan coupler residue; * shows the coupling cite of the cyan coupler; J is a divalent bonding group; lis 0 or 1; and R3 is aryl. This colored cyan coupler is contained in the red-sensitive layer in an amount of 15-80% of all the couplers in this layer, and this layer contains the compound to be allowed to release a diffusive development inhibitor by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent. This compound is represented by formula II in which A is a coupler component; n is 1 or 2; Y is a group to be allowed to release a development inhibitor high in diffusivity or its precursor by the coupling reaction of the component A with the oxidation product of a color developing agent. This compound of formula II is contained in an amount of 0.0005-0.05mol%, preferably, 0.001-0.01mol% of the silver halide in the emulsion. |
