PURPOSE:To form a compsn. having excellent adhesion and resistance to heat, corrosion, and cracking and suitable for use in coating steel products in particular, by blending a ladder silicone oligomer with a xylene resin and optionally a plasticizer. CONSTITUTION:This corrosion-resistant coating compsn. contains a ladder silicone oligomer, a xylene resin and optionally a plasticizer. A compd. of the formula (wherein R4 is a 6-10C alkyl) is preferred as said plasticizer. Pref. the oligomer is used in an amount of 25.0-55.0wt% based on that of the compsn., the xylene resin is used in an amount of 5.0-18.0wt% based on that of the oligomer and the plasticizer is used in an amount of 7.0-20.0wt% based on the combined amount of the oligomer and the xylene resin. |
