PURPOSE:To obtain a superior ink acceptability and ink fixing properties and an image of high accuracy superior in light-resistance, clarity, and surface gloss, by a method wherein an ink receptive layer consists of a water-insoluble polymer and contains a basic polymer and an ultraviolet light absorber and/or an antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:A water-insoluble polymer in an ink receptive layer is, for example, a block copolymer or graft copolymer having a hydrophilic segment as well as a hydrophobic segment in its molecule, and water-insoluble and hydrophilic as a whole. A basic polymer is a polymer having a basic group such as 1st-3rd class amino groups or a 4th class ammonium group in a main chain or a side chain, and generally used approximately 2 parts by weight or more in relation to 100 parts by weight of the water-insoluble polymer. It is preferable that an ultraviolet light absorber is used in the weight ratio of the basic polymer/the ultraviolet light absorber = 50/1-1/10 and an antioxidant is used in the weight ratio 1/100-1/1 in relation to the basic polymer in the ink receptive layer. |
