PURPOSE:To attain the miniaturization and power saving of an auxiliary magnetic field device by winding an independent coil between the comb-line of a comb-line type yoke having >=4 teeth so as to improve the magnetic flux density of the recording region. CONSTITUTION:Independent coils 1-5 are wound among the comb-line of the comb-line type yoke 6 having >=4 teeth. In recording a data to the point (a) of a disk 7 having, e.g., a magnetic film, power is applied to allow a magnetic field to be generated to the coils 1, 2 in the direction of disk outer circumference and to the coils 3-5 in the inner circumference direction of the disk. As a result, a strong magnetic field is generated between the coils 2 and 3 and the light beam from an optical head 8 is recorded through heating. In controlling the direction of current to the coils 1-5 to each point on the disk, since a strong magnetic field is applied to the recording region, the miniaturization and power saving of the auxiliary magnetic field device are attained. |
