PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the entire device by displaying a fault when a drive voltage is lowered to a permissible voltage or below so as to prevent damage of each component such as head crash. CONSTITUTION:If a fault takes place in a commercial power inputted to a power supply circuit 19 during the write/read operation, when an output DC drive voltage from the circuit 19 is lowered to less than the permissible voltage, an H level abnormal signal is inputted to a gate 21 from voltage detection circuits 20a, 20b. Thus, the output signal of the gate 21 goes to an L level, a transistor 23 is turned off and LED25 goes off.
