PURPOSE:To provide a retouching agent which is easy to handle, eliminate troubles such as spilling, adherence to clothes, etc. and is suitable for use in erasing letters, etc., by mixing a white pigment, etc. with a resin and wax. kneading the mixture and shaping it into a plastic solid. CONSTITUTION:A pigment having a desired color such as white color (e.g., titanium oxide or talc) is mixed with a resin (pref. a resin having a low degree of polymn. and causing not so much solidification with the passage of time) and wax. If desired, a plasticizer and a drying oil are added thereto. The mixture is kneaded and molded into a plastic solid, thus obtaining the titled solid retouching agent. To facilitate handling of the retouching agent, it can be used in the form of a solid retouching utencil by putting the agent into a holding member 6 and clamping the tip of the member 6 by a spiral on the tip of a clamping part 7. When a cap 8 is used, a volatile solvent is incorporated in the solid retouching agent to prevent solidification during storage. A time required for drying the surface of paper can be shortened, after it is applied thereto.
