摘要 PURPOSE:To easily and effective prevent the electrolytic corrosion in the hydrogen separator introducing pipe part of a salt electrolytic cell by electrically connecting the aq. caustic soda soln. after hydrogen sepn. in the hydrogen separator and the cathode chamber part of the electrolytic cell. CONSTITUTION:Refined brine 5 is supplied into an anode chamber 2 of the electrolytic cell 1 partitioned by an ion exchange membrane 4 and chlorine 6 and low concn. brine 7 are discharged therefrom. On the other hand, the low-concn. aq. caustic soda soln. 8 is introduced into the cathode chamber 3 and the mixture composed of hydrogen and aq. caustic soda soln. obtd. in said chamber is conducted through the introducing pipe 9 into the hydrogen separator 10. The hydrogen 11 is separated and discharged from a piping 12 and the resultant aq. caustic soda soln. 13 is delivered via a piping 14 to a concentrating stage. The aq. caustic soda soln. 10 in the hydrogen separator 10 of the above-mentioned ion exchange membrane type brine electrolytic device is electrically connected to the cathode chamber part 16 by an iron bar 16 and copper wire 17. The electrolytic cell 1 and the above-mentioned aq. caustic soda soln. 13 are thereby maintained at equipotential and the electrolytic corrosion in the hydrogen separator introducing pipe part 9 is prevented.
