PURPOSE:To prevent illegal use in the way of card processing by providing a control means applying stop control to the card processing by a signal of an illegal movement detection means detecting the magnetic flux change generated based on the card loading/ejection of card on the way of processing of the magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:The card user grips a card margin 9 on the way of processing of the magnetic card 9 to move illegally the moving card 9 in any of right left direction and in avoiding illegally a decrement revise processing (write) of a value data corresponding to the purchase of a commodity, since the change in the magnetic flux of a magnetic stripe 8 generated by the loading/ejection of the said magnetic card 9 is detected as an illegal moving signal by an illegal moving detector 7, a CPU 20 discriminates the presence of the detection output from the illegal moving detector 7 to discriminate whether or not the illegal movement is executed. When the CPU 20 discriminates it as the presence of the illegal movement, the CPU 20 applies jump processing to type processing step to apply stop control for the card processing such as sales processing based on the magnetic card 9. Thus, the illegal prevention effect is further improved.
