PURPOSE:To obtain a compsn. having excellent flame retardance, mechanical properties, residence stability during molding, flow characteristic during molding and heat resistance, by blending an arom. polyester with a brominated phenoxy resin, a low-molecular brominated epoxy compd. and an antimony compd in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A polyester compsn. consists of an arom. polyester (A), a brominated phenoxy resin (B) having a skeleton of formula I, a low-molecular brominated epoxy compd. (C) of formula II and an antiomony compd. (D), wherein the combined amount of the components B and C is 2-50pts.wt. per 100pts. wt. component A, the weight ratio of the component B to the component C is 95/5-50/50, the amount of the component D is 1-50pts.wt., and the ratio [n/(n'+1)] of the polymn. degree of the component B to that of the component C is 4.5/1-30/1. In the formulas, X is a 1-10C alkylene, an alkylidene, carbonyl, -O-, -S- or -SO2-; n>=20; p and q are each 1-4; and n' is 0-10. |
