PURPOSE:To construct a concrete slab for water channel without temporary cofferdam by a method in which a long concrete formwork is set in the widthwise direction of a water channel, and underwater concrete is placed into the space surrounded by both walls of the water channel and the formwork. CONSTITUTION:The floor bottom 7 of a water channel 6 is leveled, and a precast concrete formwork 11 is set on the floor 7 of the water channel 6 by a crane, etc. A fitting base provided to both walls 8 of the channel 6 is fixed to the formwork 11. Meshed reinforcing bars 16 are laid in the portion surrounded by the formwork 11 and the walls 8 and underwater concrete 5 is placed into the space. The floor of concrete slab of water channel can thus be constructed without the needs for temporary work such as temporary cofferdam, etc.
