摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a superior ink absorption in recording and a recording image of superior transparency and transmittance, by using particles of thermoplastic resin having a minimum filming temperature of a specific range in combination with a polymeric binder. CONSTITUTION:An ink absorbing layer exhibits a superior ink absorption in recording because of its porous properties. Particles of thermoplastic resin of 80-140 deg.C MFT can prevent the deformation of a recorded material caused by the thermal shrinkage and/or the thermal expansion thereof due to the heat produced in a transparent treatment after recording, because the upper limiting temperature is lower than the softening point of a transparent substrate. In addition, if a polymeric binder used in combination with the particles of thermoplastic resin has a MFT lower than that of the particles of thermoplastic resin, the polymeric binder sufficiently melts in a drying process when the ink absorbing layer is formed to accomplish the perfect binding of the particles of thermoplastic resin with each other and adhesion between the ink absorbing layer and the substrate. Furthermore, the transparent treatment being conducted at the temperature above the MFT of the particles of thermoplastic resin after recording can impart a high transparency to all over the ink absorbing layer.
