PURPOSE:To enhance not only dust collection efficiency but also the durability of a filter element, by adhering coarse particles to filter oil to separate the same by centrifugal force and separating fine particles by filtering. CONSTITUTION:Air to be purified is supplied to a cyclone main body 1 from an air supply port 2 in a tangential direction and passes through a filter element 4 while revolving to be exhausted out of the system from an air outlet 3. At this time, a proper amount of a liquid 5 such as water or oil injected in the main body 1 revolves by the revolving force of air to form a liquid film 8 to the peripheral wall of the main body 1 and large particulate dust separated by centrifugal force is collected by the liquid film 8. Further, extremely fine particles not separated by centrifugal force are filtered and separated when passing through the filter element 4. The coarse particles collected by the liquid film 8 are taken out from a discharge port 7 along with the liquid 5 and a new liquid is replenished from an injection port 6.
