PICTURE/SOUND INFORMATION REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reproduce picture information and sound information by an audio cassette deck by utilizing interblock information detected at cassette tape reproduction for picture and sound so as to retrieve a file. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed picture is displayed based on a data sent to a CRT 15. When a sound control data D3 is picked up by a head 4A or 4D, a signal to release the mute from a data read circuit 12 to a deck control section 2 and a mute release is commanded from the deck control section 2 to the mute control section 10 to release the mute. Then magnetic heads 4A-4D pick up sound information AU1, AU2, amplified by preamplifiers 6A, 6B and main amplifiers 7A, 7B and outputted from speakers 8A, 8B. When the reproduction of sound information is finished, an interblock is detected and a deck 1 is switched into the stop state. Thus, the picture information and sound information of a ROM cassette are reproduced.
