PURPOSE:To recover a developer by small-sized constitution without scattering nor using a suction fan nor suction filter by processing a developer removed by a cleaning brush by a recovery roller and a scraping-off member. CONSTITUTION:A residual developer on an image carrier 4 is removed by being attracted to and sticking on the cleaning brush 23 which is held at the same polarity potential with the image carrier 4 by a bias applying means 31 and given a strong electrostatic attractive force. The developer sticking on this brush 23 is recovered to the recovery roll similarly and further removed from the roller 24 by the scraping-off member 25. This small-sized constitution which requires neither the suction fan nor the suction filter recovers the developer excellently without scattering. |
