PURPOSE:To reduce the offtrack by providing the degree of freedom in the circumferential direction only to one of the 1st and 2nd support spring while restricting the degree of freedom in radial direction of a flexible recording medium and providing the degree of freedom in the radial direction of the flexible recording medium at least to the other. CONSTITUTION:One set of parallel springs consists of leaf springs 13-1, 13-2 arranged in parallel vertically among two sets of parallel springs arranged at both sides of the 1st load arm 3a and the other set of parallel springs consist of leaf spring 13-3, 13-4 arranged in parallel vertically. The support springs of the 1st magnetic converter comprising the sets of the leaf springs 13-1, 13-2 and 13-3, 13-4 are subject to restriction of the degree of freedom in the radial direction of the medium 12 and have the degree of freedom in the circumferential direction only, while the support springs of the 2nd magnetic converter consist of gimbal springs 2b and have nondirectional degree of freedom. Thus, only the offtrack by the vertical movement of the 1st and 2nd slider parts 1a, 1b is caused and the offtrack owing to the movement of the medium 12 is hardly caused.
