SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive material having superior sharpness and stability by restricting the total thickness of all the hydrophilic colloidal layers of a sensitive material to a specified value on the dry basis and incorporating a compound represented by a specified formula into at least one of the emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:The total thickness of all the hydrophilic colloidal layers of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material is restricted to <=18mum on the dry basis and a cyan dye forming coupler represented by the formula is incorporated into at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers to obtain a sensitive material having superior sharpness, not causing the fading of a dye in a stage for bleaching or bleach-fixing a cyan dye image and also having improved stability to a change during color development and improved shelf stability. The amount of the phenol type cyan coupler added is usually 0.005-5.0mol per 1mol silver halide. The lower limit of the total thickness of all the hydrophilic colloidal layers depends on materials in the layers. The preferred total thickness is 10-16mum.
