The invention relates to a device making it possible to roast coffee quasi-permanently or in batches, allowing immediate percolation at the place where it is to be consumed. It consists of a casing 1 in which an "endless-screw-cylinder" 2 turns above a heat source 3 radiating in a plurality of sectors 4 and 5. A reservoir on a slant 6, opening up in a spout 7 feeds the cylinder, regularly, by means of a turnstile 8. These two latter elements are actuated by the same motor 9. Small cups 10 fetching water from a vat 11 cool the coffee suddenly by projection. The unroasted coffee poured into the reservoir 6, figure 3, arrives automatically roasted to the grinder 16, without any other handling being necessary except, for example, setting the temperature. <IMAGE>
