PURPOSE:To magnetize the magnetic fine wire of a flow passage, formed so as to have a large cross-sectional area, with a small coil, by constituting the fluid flow passage of an electromagnetic filter so as to make the cross-section thereof annular. CONSTITUTION:A fluid flow passage 3 having an annular horizontal cross-section is provided to a filter equipped with an inflow port 2a at one end thereof and an outflow port 2b at the other end thereof. An annular coil 4 for generating a magnetic field is provided inside said flow passage 3 so as to be arranged in such a state that the axial direction of the coil 4 is parallel to the flow direction of a fluid in the flow passage 3. An inner yoke 5 is arranged inside the flow passage 3 and an outer yoke 10 is arranged in opposed relation to said yoke 5 and both of the coil 4 and the inner yoke 5 are surrounded by a container 8. A filter element 14 is arranged between the mutually opposed surfaces 7a, 11a of both yokes in the flow passage 3 so as to attract magnetic particles when magnetized. |
