PURPOSE:To attain a program correcting job without using a numerical controller (NC device) nor without stopping the operation of the NC device, carrying out the production/editing and simple check of programs just through an auxiliary program recorder for a program recording device connected to the NC device. CONSTITUTION:When the file of a floppy disk FD12 where programs and various data of an NC device are recorded is corrected, these programs and data are read out to a RAM 14 and the correcting items are supplied from a key panel 18. Then the programs on the RAM 14 are replaced, inserted and erased to various data files. When the correction is through, the programs and data files on the RAM 14 are stored into the FD12 to finish the operation. The corrected program is checked by a simple grammar check program stored in a ROM 15. In this case, the format check and the numeric character limit check are carried out after the program on the FD12 is read out to the TAM 14 and stored. If an error is detected in the program, the simple grammar check program displays a message on an LCD 16 for designation of the error.
