PURPOSE:To provide a low loss Fe-base amorphous alloy having the low loss characteristic approximately equal to the low loss characteristic of a Co-base amorphous alloy by adding Cu to an Fe-Si-S amorphous alloy and further adding Nb or Mo in combination thereto. CONSTITUTION:This low loss Fe-base amorphous alloy has the compsn. expressed by the general formula, for example, (Fe0.987Ti0.013)76.5Cu2Si13.5B9. This amorphous alloy can be cast by a single roll method, double roll method and other known liquid quick cooling methods. The thickness of the amorphous ribbon produced by the single roll method, etc. is usually about 8-100mum, and the ribbon having <=25mum thickness is adequate as the magnetic core material to be used at the high frequency. Part of Mo may be substd. with 1 or >=2 kinds among Nb, Mo, Cr, and Mn as necessary. |
