PURPOSE:To easily measure the electrolyte concentration in a liquid sample and another component or enzyme activity at the same time by applying liquid on the surface of an ion selection layer in a spot and bringing the surface of a development layer into contact with the liquid applied in the spot. CONSTITUTION:A sheet type ion selection electrode couple 11 equipped with an ion selection layer 25 as their uppermost layer are put in a frame body 13 and a multi- layered analytic element 12 equipped with a development layer 26 as its uppermost layer is set in a frame body 14. The electrode coupl1 11 have two electrodes for the liquid sample and reference liquid. Hinges 15a and 15b which guide the operation for putting the surface of the ion selection layer 25 and the surface of the development layer 26 opposite and closer to each other are provided between the frame bodies 13 and 14. Then, when liquid consisting of the liquid sample or reference liquid is supplied to the ion selection electrode couple 11 and multi-layered analytic element 12, the liquid is applied to the surface of the development surface 26 is brought into contact with the liquid applied on the surface of the ion selection layers 25. The liquid applied to the hydrophobic ion selection layers 25 is in the state of a liquid drop 24 and easily moves to the porous development layer 26 to spread on the development layer 26. |
