摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture a fluid dynamic pressure bearing shaft at a low price and with good accuracy by forming a plating layer on a joint surface of a grooved thin plate having a groove portion of a designated shape, diffusing same, mounting the thin plate on a rotary shaft and performing high temperature heating to join the grooved thin plate and the rotary shaft together. CONSTITUTION:A thin plate 11 with an outer peripheral groove and a thin plate 12 with an end surface groove 12 are mounted on a shaft 10. A groove of a designated shape is formed on a metal thin plate material by etching or pressing, and plating with suitable material such as nickel plating, copper plating or the like is applied to a joint surface where no groove is formed. After that, a plating layer is diffused by heating to firmly join the plating layer to the grooved thin plates 11, 12. The grooved thin plates 11, 12 are mounted on designated positions of the shaft 10, which are heated in a furnace to diffuse the plating layer on the shaft 10 side, so that the thin plates and the shaft join together firmly. After that, the outer peripheral surface and the end surfaces are finished by polishing.
