PURPOSE:To prepare a single coil for plural tundishes and to improve working efficiency by subjecting the molten metal in the tundish to induction heating and heat-keeping by the coil provided on the outside circumference and making the tundish attachable to and detachable from the coil. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to the tundish 22 from which slag is discharged in the case of casting separate kinds of molten metals. Bolts 63, 64 are loosened and the tundish 22 is removed from a tilting frame 23. The other tundish which is preliminarily prepd. is mounted to the coil 53 by means of the bolts 63, 64, etc. A furnace cap 26 is thereafter removed and another kinds of the molten metal is poured. The intrusion of an undesired another kind of element into the molten metal 24 is prevented by alternately mounting the tundishes 22 preliminarily prepd. in plural pieces to the single coil 53. |
