PURPOSE:To reduce the up-and-down movement of a slip in a reading part, by shifting the center shaft of a read guide side roller, by a prescribed distance, against the center shaft of a holding guide side roller, in a pair of carrying rollers provided in this side of the reading part. CONSTITUTION:The slip is detained by a read guide 7 and a holding guide 8 and carried to a reading part by a pair of carrying rollers 10, 10' provided on this side of a light source part 2. A pair of carrying rollers are set so that the center shaft of the roller 10' of the holding guide 8 side is eccentric toward the light source part 2 by a distance (d) against the center shaft of the roller 10 of the read guide 7 side. In this state, by inclining a little the center of the carrying rollers 10, 10' to the light source 2 side, the slip becomes a stat that it is held along the surface of the read guide 7, and the vibration and set tendency of the slip can be reduced. Also, the surface of the slip being in a read position holds a stale position and it is read, therefore, the read can be executed stably.
