PURPOSE:To easily sinter a treating material without contaminating the furnace inside by loading a basket of a hermetic type contg. the treating material into the furnace, heating the material and introducing the flow gas in the furnace into the basket then discharging the material directly to the outside. CONSTITUTION:The treating material A is housed into the basket 2 which consists of graphite, etc., consisting of a body 2a and a top plate 2b and having a gas inflow passage 5 and gas outflow port 6, and the basket is loaded into a chamber 1 of a heating furnace. A discharge pipe 8 provided to a hearth 3 is connected to the outflow port 6 to communicate the inside of the basket 2 to the outside of the furnace. The inside of the furnace is then heated to a prescribed temp. by a heater 4 and the flow gas is introduced into the furnace. A differential pressure under which the relatively low pressure is maintained in the basket 2 is generated between the inside and outside of the furnace. The flow gas is thereby admitted from the passage 5 into the furnace and is directly discharged together with the wax vapor generated from the treating material A through the outflow port 6 and discharge pipe 8 to the outside of the furnace. The sintering of the treating material A is thus executed without contaminating the inside of the chamber 1 with the wax vapor.
