Method for preparing grain and maize plants with grains to produce a high-grade animal feed, especially a plant compound (silage) which is easy to eat and/or digest, the plants being chopped into short sections in a first working stage and these sections being disintegrated by means of longitudinal slitting in a second working stage and being broken up to form the feed compound, the longitudinal slitting and disintegration being carried out by means of two toothed rollers which rotate in opposite directions at different peripheral speeds and have cutting teeth. <IMAGE> |
