Given the ever-recurring necessity for internal cleaning of heating boilers or other serpentine coils in which a medium is located, it has so far been necessary to produce a special cleaning circuit with a pump. In a heating coil having a cleaning valve, for example, this process is superfluous since the cleaning valve is easy to access from outside, with the result that it is easy for a dosed cleaning agent to be introduced into the interior of the serpentine coil. Of course, this eliminates the need to expose the inlet and outlet of the coil or to handle chemicals openly, and is thus less dangerous and also capable of being carried out more quickly by non-specialists. The treatment of the entire unit, which is necessarily kinder, thus also lends it a longer service life. Since the cleaning valve does not open until the container with the cleaning agent has been mounted, and immediately recloses after it has been removed, pollution is excluded. It is now possible to carry out cleaning without any assembly processes.
