A compound which is a 1-acylaminomethylimidazo[1,2-a]quinoline of formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) in which A and B both denote hydrogen or together denote a direct carbon-carbon bond, X denotes hydrogen or a halogen or a (C1-4)alkyl, (C1-4)alkoxy, (C1-4)alkylthio, methylsulphonyl, amino, (C1-4)alkylamino, di(C1-4)alkylamino, nitro or trifluormethyl group, Y denotes hydrogen or a halogen or a methyl group and is attached to the aryl ring at position 6, 7 or 8, R1 denotes hydrogen or a (C1-4)alkyl group, and R2 denotes a (C1-6)alkyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof is useful in therapy. |
