PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering in the density of an image even if the image is contacted with water, for example, immersed in water by using not only a specific antipyrine complex of zinc thiocyanate as a coupler but also a specified compound as an assistant component. CONSTITUTION:Not only an antipyrine complex of zinc thiocyanate represented by formula is used as a color developer but also at least one of compound represented by general formula II 9wherein R is a 1-18C alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted aralkyl group or an aryl group) is used as an assistant component. The compounds represented by formula II have pref. m.p. of 40-150 deg.C from the aspect of storage stability and sensitivity as a thermal recording material and the compounds with m.p. of 50-120 deg.C are especially pref. Leuco dyes are adapted alone or a mixture of two or more of leuco dyes is adapted but, as the leuco dyes, ones adapted to this kind of the thermal recording material are arbitrarily selected. |
