PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent powder characteristics, surface gloss and adhesivity, by compounding a specific modified polyethylene with an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer and pulverizing the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition having a bulk density of the powder of 0.2-0.5g/ml, an angle of repose of 30-50 deg. and an average particle diameter of 50-300mu can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a modified polyethylene produced by modifying a low-density polyethylene having a melt index of <=50g/10min and a molecular weight distribution index of 0.5-30 [defined by (melt index) X (melt tension)] with an unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) with (B) <=100pts. of an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer having a density of <=0.91g/cm<3> and pulverizing the mixture.
