PURPOSE:To obtain a flame-retardent resin free from emission of toxic or corrosive gas in combustion, by using a silane-grafted polyolefin resin as a base and compounding the base with a nonhalogen-type inorganic flame- retardant and a red phosphorus flame-retardant or an organic phosphine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of one or more silane-grafted polyolefin resins with (B) 50-200pts. of a hydrated metal oxide (magnesium oxide, etc.) surface-treated with one or more titanate coupling agent or silane coupling agent, (C) 2-50pts. (preferably 3-15% of the component B) of a red phosphorus flame-retardant or an organic phosphine derivative (preferably a phosphine oxide such as tri-n- hexylphosphine oxide) and (D) 1-20pts. of one or more inorganic fillers and kneading the above mixture under melting. |
