Circuit arrangement for identifying electrical lines

To identify the lines of a bundle of lines or the wires of a multi-core cable, a marker which exhibits a series circuit of resistance elements is connected to one end of the lines. An identifier exhibits a direct-current source by means of which a number of reference voltages is generated. A test current of the identifier is conducted via the line to be identified in each case, and the series circuit of the resistance elements of the marker. To identify the lines, the voltage drop in the marker is compared with the reference voltages by means of a series of voltage comparators in the identifier.
