The invention relates to a tipping body for vehicles, in particular for semitrailers for road transportation, in which the outer and inner smooth tipping-body walls are constructed from a plurality of rising profile sections which are hung inside one another, in a constructional unit connect a flange, forming the tipping-body outside, to at least one transverse web and on their longitudinal sides bear the parts of a joint connection which serves for the hanging-on, projects inwards and of which one half is composed of an undercut tongue and the other half of a longitudinal groove filled by the tongue. In this tipping body, it is envisaged according to the invention that the transverse web of each profile section serves for the external support of a wall plate forming the inside of the tipping body and has on the outside on its root in the profile flange one of the two halves of the joint connection, each transverse web having on the outside at an angle between the outside and the tipping-body plate a plurality of welds connecting it to the latter.
