PURPOSE:To produce a partially metal-plated resin article having excellent heat-resistance and high light-transmittance at a non-plated part, by partially plating a molded article made of a mixture of an aromatic polycarbonate resin and a thermoplastic graft copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective article is produced by partially plating a molded article having a total light transmittance of >=40% (reduced to 1mm thick) and a diffused light transmission of corresponding to >=90% of the total transmission and made of a mixture of (A) 40-70(wt)% aromatic polycarbonate resin, (B) 30-60% thermoplastic graft copolymer obtained by using a diene rubber component as a stem and grafting a vinyl monomer graft-copolymerizable therewith and (C) 0-15% copolymer composed of an aromatic vinyl monomer and a vinyl cyanide monomer. The component C is preferably a copolymer of alpha- methylstyrene and acrylonitrile.
