The drawing point on the tube is formed by a plurality of dies being pushed on one after the other, first of all a large die (15a), then a smaller die (15b) and finally an even smaller die (15c). So that the operation is automatic, the three dies are coupled to one another and simultaneously execute a pushing movement on three tubes which are held in three clamping jaws (11). Between the pushing movements, the tubes are conveyed transversely from one tube receptacle to the other. A magazine (22) with a plurality of dies of different sizes is arranged below each die holder. The die required in each case can be removed from this. <IMAGE>
