The invention relates to a fastening element, in particular for securing facing masonrywork. The fastening element comprises a sleeve having in each case an expansion region which can be anchored within the supporting wall and in the facing masonrywork by means of drawing in an expansion body and is formed by slots. For the cost-effective production and for the purpose of simple mounting of the fastening element, the sleeve is provided, adjoining the expansion region which is to be anchored in the supporting wall, with an embossed portion which projects into the sleeve interior and on which, for drawing in the expansion body, the head of the screw is supported. Adjoining the expansion region, to be fixed in the facing masonrywork, there is arranged a further, annular embossed portion, whose wall, projecting into the sleeve interior, is provided with an internal thread into which there can be screwed a screw which presses the expansion body into the slotted expansion region by means of its head.
