PURPOSE:To eliminate the loss of a specimen and to make it possible to simply introduce a desired amount of the specimen by preventing air bubbles from entering a separation column, by sampling a specimen while the specimen in a specimen sucking flow passage is confirmed by a transmitted light quantity measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A specimen sucking flow passage 12 having a specimen sucking needle 13 mounted to the leading end thereof is extended from the port 2 of a six-port valve 10. A sample loop 22 is connected to ports 3, 6 and a metering washing flow passage 19 having a three-way valve 11 with a drain flow passage, a specimen metering syringe 21 and a washing liquid container 17 successively connected thereto is extended from the port 1 of the valve 10. Further, an analytical flow passage 27 communicated with a separation column 28 and a detector 29 is extended from the port 4 of the valve 10 and a mobile phase supply passage 26 communicated with a mobile phase container 24 is extended from the port 5 of the valve 10. Furthermore, immediately before the port 2 connected to the valve 10 of the flow passage 12, the transmitted light quantity measuring device 50 of said flow passage 12 is mounted. Because the specimen can be sampled while the specimen in the flow passage 12 is confirmed by the measuring device 50, a specimen sucking amount may be adjusted so as to be slightly larger than the amount to be subjected to analysis and there is almost no specimen loss.
