A device for the shifting of a motor vehicle transmission comprises a longitudinally movably guided, manually operated gear shift rod, on which a servo cam is arranged for assisting the shift movement. The servo cam is formed from two inclined faces rising symmetrically to a central elevation, onto which at least one spring-loaded locking element is pressed.
