PURPOSE:To enhance a matching property with a head and developed color density, by using silicon oxide treated with dimethyldichlorosilane as the filler of a thermal color forming layer or an under layer. CONSTITUTION:Silicon oxide treated with dimethyldichlorosilane used in this invention is a compound formed according to a reaction formula I and can be used in a state mixed with various fillers used generally if necessary. If silicone oxide is treated with dimethyldichlorosilane, the number of silanol groups are reduced and acidity becomes weak and, when said treated silicon oxide is used as the filler of a thermal color forming layer or an under layer, a thermal recording material generating no background fog, reduced in the lowering of the color forming sensitivity due to the addition of silicon oxide and excellent in the matching property with a head can be obtained. |
