PURPOSE:To resend automatically the previously stored contents of a document or the like and to easily execute resending processing without manual operating by sending a call request to a telephone set at the detection of an error and automatically executing work until the telephone set sets up a channel again. CONSTITUTION:A user of a facsimile equipment 1 calls an opposite subscriber through a telephone set 7, which stores the telephone number in a built-in memory. After setting up a channel, set data are transferred to the opposite subscriber side and the sent data are stored in a transfer data storing part 5. If a CPU3 detects an error on the way of the transmission of the data, the CPU3 disconnects the line in accordance with a program stored in an program storing part 4. Then, the CPU3 actuates a call request part 6 and sends an automatic call request to the telephone set 7, so that the telephone set 7 calls the opposite subscriber. After setting up the channel, document data interrupted by the generation of the error is automatically resent from the storing part 5.
