PURPOSE:To reduce, self-exciting vibration of a magnetic head effectively y forming the turning center of the magnetic head during recording/reproduction at a position near a face of a magnetic diskette at a position lower than the upper face of a jacket. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 1 is projected downward from the gap of the jacket 3 and applies recording/reproduction while being contacted with a face of the magnetic diskett 2. The magnetic head 1 is supported flexibly by a solid gimbal spring 4 so as to be turned around the turning center A with respect to couple of forces and the magnetic head 1 is turned around the turning center A by the elastic deformation of the spring 4 to the change in a friction force due to the contact between the magnetic head 1 and the magnetic diskette 2. Since the spring 4 is formed stereoscopically, the magnetic head 1 is turned around the shaft in the fitting face to the spring 4 as shown in chain lines. Since the turning center A of the magnetic head 1 during recording/reproduction is constituted so as to be in existence as a position close to a face of the magnetic diskette 2 in a medium, the chattering vibration of the magnetic head at recording;reproduction is reduced.
