<p>PURPOSE:To aim at diffusing evaporated fuel within an absorbent layer and to enhance the capacity of absorption, by disposing a deflector for deflecting the flowing direction of evaporated fuel which is introduced into the layer of evaporated fuel absorbent disposed in a casing, from ports. CONSTITUTION:An evaporated fuel disposing device 100 is composed of an absorbent layer 10 formed of absorbent 8 and stored in a casing 2, the upper and lower surfaces of the above-mentioned porous layer 10 are supported by retainer plates 14, 20 through the intermediary of filters 12, 18. A float chamber port 28, a tank port 32 and a purge port 36 are formed in the upper cover 6 of the casing 2. In this arrangement, a deflector 150 composed of a receiving pan section 15a and leg parts 150b, for changing the flowing direction of the evaporated fuel is disposed in the absorbent layer 10, the receiving pan section 150a being arranged at a position opposing a pipe 40 projecting from a valve device 38 communicated with the tank port 32. Further, the receiving pan section 150 is connected with a counter flowing direction changing deflector 160 which is arranged at a position opposing the float chamber port 28.</p> |
