<p>PURPOSE:To express density gradations of respective dots by providing at least one mirror oscillating part which can be oscillated according to input signals and providing means for controlling the magnitude of the oscillation angle of the mirror oscillating part. CONSTITUTION:The mirror oscillating part 13 bends at a hinge part 14 if there is a large voltage difference between, for example, a mirror 1, a supporting substrate 2 and an N+ floating source 8. The incident angle is, therefore, reflected at the angle changed from twice the swing angle of the mirror oscillating part 13. On the other hand, the force that the mirror oscillating part 13 is pulled by a floating field plate 7 is small and said part is not curved if the voltage difference is small. The incident angle is consequently reflected while the mirror is not oscillated. More specifically, a modulating element 27 converts the electrical on and off to the on and off of the oscillation of the mirror oscillating part 13 and converters the same further to the swing angle of light.
