<p>PURPOSE:To obtain compatibility among various kinds of software by selecting and outputting only a basic clock of frequency corresponding to the clock control instruction of a central processor among plural basic clocks which differ in frequency. CONSTITUTION:When the central processor 4 executes the clock control instruction, a control instruction decoder latch circuit 6 outputs switching information to a selective switching circuit 7. The circuit 7 selects and outputs a basic clock of frequency specified by the device 4 among plural basic clocks which differ in frequency. For example, a basic clock of frequency corresponding to distributed software is outputted from a clock oscillator 21 and a basic clock of frequency corresponding to faster software is outputted from a clock oscillator 22. Consequently, the basic clocks are switched properly according to software to be put in operation and information processing by the distributed software and information processing by the fast software are carried out selectively.</p> |
