PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out an excellently accurate mass analysis, by dissolving a sample to analyze in a solvent, impregnating the dilute sample to an inorganic fiber, then volatilizing the solvent, and analyzing the mass by using the inorganic fiber including the sample. CONSTITUTION:To a small amount of an inorganic fiber consisting of a glass wool with mean diameter 5mu, B H T (2.6 di-tert butyl 4 methylphenol) of a sample to analyze dissolved in methanol as a solvent is impregnated, and the methanol is volatilized from the glass wool 2 including the dilute solution 1 by a drier (about at 30 deg.C). This glass wool 2 impregnated with the B H T 3 is placed at the bottom of the recession 4a of a sample holder 4, and only the B H T 3 included in the glass wool 2 is heated and evaporated by a heater 5 arranged along the periphery of the sample holder 4. The evaporated molecules are used to analyze the mass by using a mass chromatograph.
