PURPOSE:To plan compactification of the equipment in the caption, by surrounding the pump chamber of a vertical pump by a tank with a suction pipe of which the lower end is opened in the liquid storage tank and providing a syphon pipe with its top end opened at the upper part of this pump through the tank and its bottom end opened in a liquid storage pump. CONSTITUTION:A pump chamber 6 is surrounded with a tank 9 of a cylindrical form having a bottom plate and at the lower portion of this thank 9, the lower end of a suction pipe 7 is opened. While, a syphon pipe 10 is provided with its top end opened at the upper part of the tank 9 through the bottom portion of the tank 9 and its lower end opened, being submerged in the liquid of a liquid storage tank 2. Thus, a compact construction of pump is obtained without having the tank projecting sideward from the pump.
