PURPOSE:To make it possible to assemble a set valve easily and securely, by installing the stem of the set valve to a fixing guide member through half cutting guide bushes, and inserting and fixing the fixing guide member to a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:At the assembling, first the upper end 6b side of the stem 6 of a valve 15 is inserted through the hole 17a of a fixing guide member 17, and half cutting guide bushes 18 are inserted from the upper opening of the fixing guide member 17. Secondly, the valve 15 is inserted from the lower side to the upper side of a small bore hole 8 of a cylinder head 1, and the upper end 6b of the stem 6 and the upper end of the fixing guide member 17 are made project upward from the recessed part 9. Then, the top end between slits 17c at the top of the fixing guide member 17 is bent and fixed to the cylinder head 1. After that, a spring 13 and a retainer 10 are furnished at the recessed part 9, to make the installing part 16 at the top of the valve 15 projecting upward from the retainer 10, and, the valve 15 and the retainer 10 are incorporated.
