PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce a communication charge by providing a picture number conversion table and using one videotex subscriber's line by plural user's terminals multiplexedly with time division. CONSTITUTION:A terminal control equipment TCE 4 having the picture number conversion table 5 for converting a relative picture number into an absolute picture number is connected between a videotex communication network 2 and user terminals 6. When the user of a terminal A inputs the relative picture number A1R, the TCE 4 retrieves the absolute picture number on the table 5 and sends the A1A to an information center 1. The center 1 retrieves the corresponding picture information A1 and sends the information A1 to the terminal A through the TCE 4 to attain the multiplexing of the line. When the center 1 is to update the screen, the table 5 is updated in accordance with a providing period included in the information and accumulates the updated table as telesoft data. When necessary, the TCE 4 retrieves the table and the center 1 receives the retrieved data, so that service can be attained by the table 5 always synchronized with the center 1.
