PURPOSE:To vaporize a developer which remains on a recording body by providing a heater which heats the recording body from behind at the end of development. CONSTITUTION:When development is completed, the rotation of a motor 7 is stopped and the supply of a developer 2 to an electrode plate 11 is stopped. In this case, a developer is left between the recording paper 22 and electrode plate 11 because of surface tension. For the purpose power is conducted to the heater 19 for an extremely short time of 1-3 seconds after a pump 6 is driven Consequently, the guide surface of guide 18 is heated momentarily to 150-200 deg.C to instantaneoulsy vaporize the developer which remains owing to the surface tension.
