PURPOSE:To obtain an amino resin molding material which is suitable for use in the production of cosmetic containers, imitation pearls, etc., and gives moldings of a high whiteness, by impregnating a substrate with an amino resin, a fluorescent brightener and a dip dyeing aid as essential ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A substrate such as pulp, woodmeal, etc. is impregnated with an amino resin (e.g., a urea resin or a melamine resin), 0.05-1wt% (based on tha total amount of the material) fluorescent brightener and 0.1-7wt% (based on the total amount of the material) dip dyeing aid (e.g., Glauber's salt). If desired, the substrate is dried. A filler, a curing agent, a parting agent, a colorant, etc., are added thereto. The mixture is mixed, kneaded and crushed. If desired, granulation is carried out to obtain the desired amino resin molding material.
